If art is subjective how can anyone really critique it? Some artists choose to reject all formal skills and techniques and adopt a more emotional approach? How do you feel about this type of art?

I think you can critique it, but based on your emotions. The artists who reject formal training may just be finding a way to express themselves and don't want any such restrictions placed upon them. I can't blame them.
