In order to understand the specific function of the ossicles, scientists removed both the tympanic membrane and the ossicles from the auditory canal of a rodent, allowing sound waves to directly influence depolarization of stereovilli. How will the rodent's hearing path be affected?

    The rodents hearing will be less sensitive near and far

    Explanation:

    In normal hearing, the sound waves travel from the wide tympanic membrane to the ossicles, which causes an increase in the intensity of the sound waves as it gets amplified, therefore, without these the intensity will be less than normal regardless of how far the sound is
