Why is bottled water not sustainable

    Literal tons of oil are required to produce plastic. Oil is a nonrenewable resource, meaning that once it's gone, it's gone forever. It's not just that: plastic isn't recyclable: it takes millions of years for it to go away, and in that time, it can choke animals and teem landfills.
