The heart is asymmetrical in shape. How does the way that the heart functions determine this feature of the heart's structure?

The right and left sides of the heart are responsible for pumping blood to separate regions of the body covering same distances.

The right side of heart sends blood to the lungs to be deoxygenated in the pulmonary circuit, while the left side sends oxygenated blood to the rest of the body in the systemic circuit.

The left side of heart sends blood to the lungs to be oxygenated in the pulmonary circuit, while the right side sends blood to the rest of the body in the systemic circuit.

The right side of heart sends blood to the lungs to be oxygenated in the pulmonary circuit, while the left side sends blood to the rest of the body in the systemic circuit.

    Explanation:

    The right atrium of the heart receives deoxigenated blood from the whole body with carbon dioxide then it passes to te right ventricle to be sent to the lungs to get oxyganted, after that the blood goes to the left atrium then the left ventricle and goes to the rest of the body. The blood in the lungs gets oxynated.
