    Answer: The poles are at the ends and the the poles are stronger and more energetic. One of the properties of magnetic flux - lines force is that they prefer paths of least resistance. The lines of force leave and enter at poles and they travel inside to complete the loop. They form closedloops. Now when they leave or enter they are in the path most resistance namely air.
