Nipah virus infection is caused by Nipah virus.

    Explanation:

The first Nipah virus outbreak was recorded in Malaysia. The primary pathway of this virus from bats to people is said to be from the çontamination of raw date palm sap by bats and this is subsequently consumed by humans and domestic animals like cattle, pigs etc. These are mixed with the saliva and tge cycle goes on.

The evidence that suggested bats was a storage of Nipah virus was when human got infected from drinking raw date palm sap or juice that had already been contaminated with the saliva and urine from bats.

    Explanation:

Nipah virus is a virus that can be transmitted by contact either human to human contact or animal to human contact. It is also referred to as a zoonotic virus.

A person with Nipah virus infection may show symptoms which ranges from cough, fever, headache, respiratory tract infections and a brain infection that is called encephalitis. Some persons also show no symptoms at all (a person that does not show symptoms is referred to as been asymptomatic).

Bats specifically fruit bats of the Pteropodidae family are the natural host or reservoir of Nipah virus. This is because, humans who consumed raw date palm juice or sap that had already been contaminated by the urine or saliva or this fruit bats showed the presence of Nipah virus in their system.

Currently, Nipah virus has no cure or vaccine only supportive treatment can be given to a patient suffering from Nipah virus.
