Explain how animal-like and plant-like protists are similar and different.

The main way animal-like protists differ from plant-like protists is in the way they get energy. Animal-like protists are heterotrophs. Most plant-like protists are autotrophic. Some can be both autotrophic and heterotrophic, while a few are completely heterotrophic. All animal-like protists are unicellular, while plant-like protists can be unicellular, multicellular, or live in colonies. Most animal-like protists can move, while only some plant-like protists can move.
