If a block has a mass of 10kg and weight of 60 lbs what would its mass and weight be on the moon

    Mass is a constant, howver weight is not constant on planet becuase the gravitational force is directly proportional to the acceleratoin due to gravity (gravitational constant). The force on gravity is shown on a scale and equal to weight

    I'll be using the gravitational constant of the moon 1.6m/s² OR one can calculate the graviational constant on the moon, using the equation for universal gravitation

    Using Newton's second law we can find weight, F (F-force of gravity)

    F=ma We can deduct that mass is constand and a=g

    F=mg Insert value of g, mass (constant)

    F=10 (1.6)

    F=160 Weight=F

    Weight=160 kg

    In conclusion, a 10kg object has a mass of 10kg and 160 kg weight on the moon
