The stars are hot bodies of glowing gas that produce its own heat and light by nuclear reactions (nuclear fusion). The life cycle of the star consists of several phases:
Phase 1: Stars are born
Phase 2: Stars grow and glow
Phase 3: Nuclear reactions
Phase 4: The star releases energy
Phase 5: The star expands
Phase 6: Black dwarf - the star ends to shine.
