A radio station's channel, such as 100.7FM or 92.3 FM, is actually it's frequency in megahertz, where 1 MHz = 10^6 Hz and 1 Hz = 1s-1. Calculate the broadcast wave length of the radio station 96.90 FM.

    You have to use the equation c=λν

    c = the speed of light (3.00x10^8 m/s)

    λ = the wavelength in m (in this case the unknown)

    ν = the frequency in Hz or s^-1 (in this case 96.9x10^6 Hz)

    The frequency of the 96.90 FM radio station is 96.90 MHz which equals 96.9x10^6 Hz and we know the speed of light since it is a constant. with this information we can rewrite the equation as λ=c/ν to get wavelength.

    λ = (3.00x10^8 m/s) / (96.9x10^6 Hz)

    λ=3.10 m
