    The Ph of a solution with (H3O+) = 5.9 x10 ^-3M is calculated as below

    Ph = - Log (H3O+) concentration

    that is Ph = - Log (5.9 x10^-3) = 2.2

    the solution is acidic since the Ph is less than 7

    PH is related to [H₃O⁺] as follow,

    pH = - log [H₃O⁺]

    As,

    [H₃O⁺] = 5.9 * 10⁻³

    Putting this value in above equation,

    pH = - log (5.9 * 10⁻³)

    pH = 2.23

    Result:

    As the pH of given concentration of H₃O⁺ ions is less than 7, so it is acidic in nature.
