What is the molality of 10 kilograms of water containing 5.0 moles of sodium chloride?

    molality (m) = 0.5 mol/Kg

    Explanation:

    molality (m) = mol solute / Kg solvent

    ∴ solute: NaCl

    ∴ solvent: H2O

    ⇒ m = 5.0 mol / 10 Kg

    ⇒ m = 0.5 mol NaCl / Kg H2O
