    The structures that are common to both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells are membrane, ribosomes, cytoplasm, and DNA.

    All cells have a membrane, ribosomes, cytoplasm, and DNA. However, Prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus and membrane bound structures while the eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and membrane bound structures called organelles.
