A sample of helium gas is at 122 kPa and 22°C. Assuming constant volume, what will the temperature be when the pressure is 203 kPa?

    Answer: T2 = 490.9K = 217.9°C

    Explanation:

    P1=122kPa, T1 = 22+273 = 295K,

    P2 = 80.2kPa, T2=?

    Applying P1/T1 = P2/T2

    Substitute and Simplify

    122/295 = 203/T2

    T2 = 409.9K = 217.9°C
