Why is Ca + NaCl - > Ca (NaCl) 2?

    It's either not Ca (NaCl) 2 or you have to balance the equation by making NaCl as 2NaCl

    so Ca + NaCl = CaCl + Na

    or Ca + 2NaCl = Ca (NaCl) 2
