Given that,
Amount of moles of Fe2O3 (n) = ?
Mass of Fe2O3 in grams = 92.2g
For molar mass of Fe2O3, use the atomic masses:
Iron, Fe = 56g;
Oxygen, O = 16g
Fe2O3 = (56g x 2) + (16g x 3)
= 112g + 48g
= 160g/mol
Since, amount of moles = mass in grams / molar mass
n = 92.2g / 160g/mol
n = 0.576 mole (Round n to the nearest hundredth, hence n becomes 0.58 moles)
Thus, there are 0.58 moles are in 92.2 g Fe2O3
