Scientific Notation is a way for scientist to write a very large number shorter.
For example, if i wanted to write the number 4,000,000,000,000, i would not want to write it over and over again because of its length. But I could put into scientific notation to make it easier to read.

Scientific notation is a method of writing or displaying numbers in terms of a decimal number between 1 and 10, multiplied by a power of 10.
