How many grams of water will form if 10.54 g H2 react with 95.10 g O2

    2H2+O2-->2H2O

    10.54g (1mol/2.016g) = 5.23 mols H2

    95.10g (1mol/32g) = 2.97 mols O2

    Therefore H2 is the limiting reagent as you would need 5.94 mols H2 to fully react with 2.97 mols O2 (2:1 ratio).

    There is a 1:1 mole ratio between H2 and H2O so 5.23 mols H2O are formed.

    5.23 mols H2O (18.016g/1molH2O) = 94.22g

    94.22 g of H2O will be formed, the rest of the initial mass will remain as O2
