    Both Technicians are correct

    Explanation:

The transmission system of a car has mainline pressure in reverse, drive position and manual gear. The mainline pressure is of different ranges which are associated with the gear selections.

The standard line pressure ranges from 60 to 120 Psi, the wide-open throttle is from 90 to 150, and reverse gear is from 150 to 300.

From the above ranges, it is evident that the two technicians are right. The mainline pressure is higher in manual first gear than it is when the gear selector is in the drive position, and the mainline pressure is higher in reverse than when the gear selector is in the drive position.
