Consider the flow past a 30-degree expansion corner. The upstream conditions are M1 = 2, P1 = 3 atm, and T1 = 400 K. Calculate the following downstream conditions: M2, P2, T2, T02, and P02.

    V1 = 26.38

    Using V2 = V1 + h, where h = tether = 23.38degrees

    V2 = 26.38+23.38=49.76

    Now mach number obtained from tables, at V2 = 49.76,

    M2 = 3

    Now, P0/P1 = 7.824 at M1 = 2

    Similarly T0/T1 = 1.8

    And at M2 = 3

    P0/P1 = 36.73

    T0/T1 = 2.8.
