So basically the greek gods were angry at the humans and they wanted to get back at us so zeus devised a plan to get back at us. He created a woman named Pandora and he created this box for her and h emplyed all the gods to put a gift inside of that box and he gave it to her and told her never to open it, well out of pure curiosity she opened it and unleashed all the horrors of the world. This, according to the gods, was the only hope for mankind. This is why when you say something is a pandoras box it is something that is complicated and will produce more problems
