Dreams played an important role in the Aeneid narration. Through his dreams, Aeneas was visited by a god where he was given a glimpse of his future, what he is bound to become and what he is destined for. While he was having this dream, Aeneas was in his complete battle armor, which was a sign of his destiny of becoming a hero.
