Solve by using substitution, x=130-y
plug x into the second equation 4 * (130-y) = y/3
(The first part of the equation (x+y-x) is equivalent to just Y)
distribute the 4 520-4y=y/3
multiply both sides by 3 to isolate the variable
add 12y to both sides 1,560-12y=y
1,560=13y Divide both sides by 13
y=120
Plug y back into the first equation x=130-120
x=10
