The Civil Rights Movement began because of the lack of human rights equal to Caucasians. Some major changes are greater social and economic mobility for African-Americans across the nation and racial discrimination is now banned, greater access to resources for women, religious minorities, African-Americans and low-income families.

    Explanation:

The Civil Rights Movement began 1954 and ended in 1968. Some of the changes gained by this movement were: segregation in school and communities became illegal which allowed African Americans to live where they wanted and go to school with Caucasians. Discrimination in employment and quality housing also became illegal.
