Is it that people are corrupt, or is it power that corrupts them?

Leadership is all about power and influence, leaders use their power to get things done. There is two forms of power, socialized power (to benefit others) and personalized power (for personal gain). So yes, power corrupts people, depending on how much they let that power get to their head. Once someone knows they have a lot of power in there hands, it starts taking over.
