Odysseus uses his intelligence and cunning to escape the Cyclops, not revealing his true identity until he has already defeated him, and analyzing the situation to hide under the sheep. For example, Rikki-tikki in the Jungle Book, plans how to defeat snakes that eat garden animals and plan to kill humans. Like Ulysses, Rikki-tikki studies his enemies and jumps into the second male cobra and fights, as Ulysses did by stabbing Polyphemus in the eye. Then destroyed the cobra's eggs so that there are no hatchlings left. Ulysses uses the name "nobody" so that the friendly cyclops cannot notice that someone left Polyphemus blind. In the end, the two characters are victorious for their bravery.
