The bond business
Explanation:
In 1922 Nick Carraway travels to New York to learn the bond business.
He was next door to Gatsby and also lived the West Egg district of Long Island, Nick is also Daisy's cousin, which allowed him to assist and observe the reviving love affair between Daisy and Gatsby.
As a result of his relationship to the two characters, Nick is the perfect example to relate with the novel, which was used as a personal record of his experiences with Gatsby in the summer of 1922.
