The argument that "today's teens" have "a short attention span" is often used in discussion of teaching today. Many argue that, unlike earlier generations, you are unable to relate to classic literature and characters from the past. By this stage in your academic career, you have read at least several classic texts. Do you feel that your parents or grandparents could relate any more closely to the characters and themes in these books, stories, and poems than you? Why or why not? Answer in complete sentences.
