What kind of fault is probably most common in the northern San Andreas fault system? Explain your answer.

    The San Andreas fault system is a continental fault that is 810 miles long and is located in California in the United States. The fault has 3 different segments which all have different characteristics. The fault was first discovered in 1895 by Andrew Lawson from Berkeley University.
