Over the past 70 million years or so, the Hawaiian hot spot has been pumping out lava, a total of about 186,000 mi3 worth. If all that lava had erupted in Indiana, how deeply would Indiana be buried in lava? Indiana has a land area of approximately 35,867 mi2.
