    This usually occur after a war has ended, and the victorious group captures the the remaining people among the defeated group and usually sell them to other countries to make money, or force them to work for them.

    In some cases, most of the slaves resist their imprisonment at sea majorly by refusing to eat. Because that is the only weapon they can use to meet some of their needs from their owners.

    The owners know that health of their slaves is very important, because it is of economic importance. Since, it is only healthy slaves that can work well on their farms and anywhere they are planning to use them.

    Punishments and tortures was very common, and in some cases on the ships, the crew had to forcefully turn the independent ones into obedient humans, these various inhuman treatments and punishments leads to the resistance and rebellious act in the ships,
