Alexander Hamilton attended the Continental Congress as a New York delegate from November 1782 through July 1783. He is also considered by many historians to be a Founding Father of the United States of America. He was the country's first Secretary of the Treasury and was considered to be a political philosopher, co-authoring the Federalist Papers with James Madison and John Jay.
