Why did the anti-federalists oppose the idea of having a president?

A. They feared he would not be elected fairly.

B. They feared he would be treated as just a figurehead.

C. They feared he would act like and be treated like a king.

D. They feared he would not be permitted to marry, given all of his responsibilities.

    C) The Anti-Federalist would very much against being controlled by a king. They opposed the Constitution but we all know they lost that fight.
