Iroquois give up because the entire Confederacy has to agree to it first. Each of our nations gave up being able to declare war on their own. The Iroquois gained peace and power by uniting against common enemies. Iroquois or also called Haudenosaunee, it is the historically powerful northeast Native American confederacy.
