The Bessemer process was invented by Henry Bessemer in 1856 in the late Industrial Revolution and it is a process whereby steel is made from pig iron using oxidation to remove impurities in the iron. It revolutionized steel production and allowed steel production to blossom by supplying the demands of the late Industrial Revolution.
