How did Americans view General William Westmoreland's March 1968 request for more troops?

    General William Westmoreland's requested for more than a hundred thousand of troops to strengthen the military. This became a strategy to counter and reduce the military forces of Vietnam. However, it was not successful. Americans started losing their confidence of the war because of the increasing number of inflicts and dead soldiers that happened.
