Why did some people support the new constitution? Why did some people not support it?

Many people, known as the Federalists, supported the new Constitution of the US because they felt it would give the central government the power it needed to enrich the nation, while many people, known as the Anti-Federalists, opposed it because they thought it would give the new government too much power over the states.
