Independent living facilities for people with disabilities including people with both phnysical, mental and developmental problems are usually controlled by the government and in Canada, the provincial government but it is up to the parents of these people to advocate for the best type of living arrangement for their loved one and it doesn't happen automatically but the parents must fight adamantly for what they know is best for their son or daughter.
