Westward expansion was a firm belief among Americans which is also referred to Manifest destiny. The impact of these movements to west over Native Americans was quite high and full of bloodshed. Unfortunately, the Fed also encouraged settlers to move west with their schemes and laws.

Manifest Destiny: A belief at that time among people that they are destined to settle and explore west. Moving to west and impact on Native Americans lives: At first, Native Americans had to leave their homes as they were being invaded. Buffalo Migration also suffered when settlers hunted and killed them for fun and consequently Native Americans had shortage of food. Those who stayed were treated unfairly. There were battles between settlers and Native Americans. Fed's role: Encouraging settlers by introducing unfair schemes such as Homestead act 1862 which allowed citizens to buy 160 acre of land for just $10. Railroad expansion when the Fed was transforming railroads Native Americans had to leave and make way for railroad.
