    Scots-Irish term refers to protestants who arrived from Scotland and Ireland in America during the 1700s. These protestants called as Ulster Protestants. Scots-Irish protestants began to arrive in Colonial North America when King Charles I tried to force them to convert into the Church of England in the 1630s.
