    We talk about Sr Edward Burnett Tylor (1832-1917). He's considered the founder of cultural anthropology. His theories were influenced by Charles Darwin's theory of biological evolution. Tylor developed the thesis that societies evolve from primitive to modern cultures, advocating the idea of studying all past civilizations as part of the history of a single human thought. His definition of culture is the most widely accepted by anthropologists today.
