The election of 1828 was significant because it C) was the first to include the Democratic Party. The Party, that would adopt the official name of Democratic Party in 1844, had Andrew Jackson as its candidate for the presidential election. He faced the then president John Quincy Adams, just like in the previous 1824 elections, however this time Jackson would be elected. Jackson won with almost 56% percent of the popular vote and became the 7th President of the US.

The answere is C. On the united State presidential elections carried out on 1828 the main characters were the democrat Andrew Jackson (that emerged as Democratic Republicans) who defetead the national Republican John Quincy Adams (whose followers began calling themselves National Republicans). It was a remarcable election in terms of political campaign. Both candidates were accused of compromising charges. Adams of missusing public funds and Jackson was accused of murder adn adultery.

The election turned out on Jackson victory but the states became clerly sectional helding convetions to back up their candidates: south, west, pensilvania and NYC became democrat states. This made them unique, they were no longer made by Congressional caucuses as they have been so far.
