Was the quartering act a good or bad thing

The quartering act was good and bad for different people. Under this act, the British required the American colonists to house British soldiers and provide them with food. This act was good for the British. This act was bad for the colonists because they didn't have a say in the matter. The Quartering Act was one of many that the British King forced onto the colonists that ultimately led them to rebelling and fighting for their independence.
