Increasing populations moving into lands with unclear boundaries.

The English colonies were experiencing increasing populations and a need for more land. However on the other side of the English colonies was Native American territory and French claims. As populations continued to move, fights over land rights kept occurring. This caused tension between the English colonists and the Native Americans as well as between the English colonists and the French. The French-Indian War began with the English colonists laying claim on a French fort. The war essentially was fought over land.
