I believe the answer is: Carbohydrates

The energy level that carried out by organism would get higher as they placed lower in the food pyramid. Because of this, plants (which are the main source of carbohydrates) tend to be easiest to to be broken down and absorbed for energy, and create the feeling of full stomach on a shortest period.
