What do amendment 4 and 8 have in common? what do these amendments reveal about the concern and anxieties of early Americans about government and authority during this period

    The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

    Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

    I guess it is protecting the people from bad things like mo searches without a warrant and no cruel and unusual punishment
