Spokane and Seattle changed when people began settling in the area. These area were filled with natural resources and because of these resources, people began to build their homes and build a community.

The Northern Pacific Railway was built making these places more accessible to the people who have long since been looking for their own place to settle down in. Businesses were started using the natural resources. Mining, logging, agribusiness, and forestry flourished and the once silent place became a bustling city.
