The encyclopedie (encyclopedia) discussed of political views that went against the idea of absolute monarchy. The encyclopedie included many philosophical ideas that could educate people - it had useful knowledge like trade skills and new discoveries. As education increased, the power of the monarch would soon begin to decrease as people start to notice how corrupt the governement is.
