Explain the term producer, and list an example of three types of producers in an economy.

    A producer is an organism - either a green plant or bacterium - that creates its own food, usually is food to a consumer, and is a part of the first level of a food chain.

    Three examples of producers would include: grass, and most flowers and trees.
