    All 3 sides are equal in an equilateral triangle ...

    2x - 5 = 3x - 22

    -5 + 22 = 3x - 2x

    17 = x

    2x - 5 = 2 (17) - 5 = 34 - 5 = 29

    3x - 22 = 3 (17) - 22 = 51 - 22 = 29

    x + 12 = 17 + 12 = 29

    as u can see, all sides measure 29 inches
